C4DHI Anniversary Workshop | Two-Day Workshop on the Occasion of the Third Anniversary of the Centre for Digital Humanities Integration

We would like to invite you to a two-day workshop celebrating the third anniversary of the Centre for Digital Humanities Integration (C4DHI). The event will take place at the Jinonice Campus.
Date: 1-2 June 2026
Venue: Jinonice Campus, Room C420

C4DHI is a research centre working within the Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, cooperating closely with partner technological and research institutions including UFAL, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, and LINDAT CLARIAH-CZ.

The workshop program focuses on the latest applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) and digital dimensions in contemporary research. Key sessions will cover linguistic features and LLMs in legal AI, online toxic speech as positioning acts, LLM-based metadata extraction from scanned NATO documents, and exploring parliamentary discourses regarding the cultural embeddedness of illiberalism and radicalisation. The event opens with welcome remarks by the heads of the participating institutions and includes a evening get-together session.

C4DHI pursues the mission of ushering current realities of the indispensability of the “digital” dimension of research and education in area studies and modern history. It seeds and nurtures transdisciplinary methodological integration through four key pillar activities: internal DH skill and capacity building, external DH expertise influx and networking, direct DH application in research and publishing, and integration of DH into the study curriculum.
